Anna Klos was born on February 28, 1988 in Łódź. She graduated from the Military University of Technology in Warsaw in 2012 with a master degree. She received her PhD in 2016 and was granted with habilitation in 2019. She is working at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy of Military University of Technology since 2013 and currently hosts a position of associated professor.
In 2018, she received the START scholarship funded by the Foundation for Polish Science. For her research activity, she was granted with 15 other prizes, including 6 international scholarships granted by the European Geosciences Union or the International Association of Geodesy. She was a leader in one scientific project, funded by the National Science Center Poland and an investigator in 18 other scientific projects, as a project financed by the European Union and realized by the COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) consortium. She is a Steering Committee member of the Inter-Commission Committee on „Geodesy for Climate Research” of the International Association of Geodesy and a member of 7 other international organizations, as European Geosciences Union, American Geophysical Union or international joint working groups of the International Association of Geodesy, as ICCT: JSG 0.19: „Time series analysis in geodesy”, ICCC: JWG C.8: „Methodology of comparing/validating climate simulations with geodetic data”, and ICCC: JWG C.2: „Quality control methods for climate applications of geodetic tropospheric parameters”. In 2019, she received a Visiting Professor position at the University of Bonn as a Mercator Fellow in the „New Refined Observations of Climate Change from Spaceborne Gravity Missions (NEROGRAV)” project funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). She presented more than 140 presentation at international meetings, mainly in English.
She is a co-author of more than 40 scientific papers in the field of physical geodesy, reference frames and geodetic time series analysis. She gave 3 invited talks in foreign scientific institutes. She completed 9 internships in leading foreign scientific institutes, as University of Bonn, Deutsche GeoForschungsZentrum GFZ, University of Luxembourg or Royal Observatory of Belgium. She is an Associated Editor in the „Journal of Geodesy”, „GPS Solutions” i „GEM - International Journal on Geomathematics” journals. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of polish “Geodesy and Cartography” journal, which is published under the umbrella of the Committee of Geodesy of Polish Academy of Sciences.
